Pirandello Week: "Liolà's Paintings" on stage with Mario Incudine

Pirandello Week: "Liolà's Paintings" on stage with Mario Incudine

The third and final event of the Pirandellian Week at the Teatro dell'Efebo, which concludes on Saturday, August 30th at 9:00 PM with a Grand Gala of the highest artistic standard. The performance features "Quadri di Liolà," directed by Mario Incudine, with an adaptation of Pirandello's work by Incudine himself, Moni Ovadia and Paride Benassai, and Stefania Blandeburgo. This performance blends prose and music in a truly grand fable reminiscent of popular opera.

There's great anticipation for the first time at the Teatro dell'Efebo for this revival of one of Pirandello's most famous comedies, the subject of countless adaptations in prose, music, and film. Artists such as Incudine, Ovadia, Benassai, and Blandeburgo guarantee a sure-fire success. The sixteenth edition of the Kaos Pippo Montalbano Award will take place on the same evening.

"This final event is a fitting conclusion to a festival that, in collaboration with the Nuovo Piccolo Teatro, we were pleased to bring back to life after an eighteen-year absence from Agrigento," says Giuseppe Pendolino, President of the Libero Consorzio di Agrigento, "and which we will continue to support to enhance the area's cultural offerings." Tickets and information are available at www.giardinoefebo.it or at the box office on Via Imera, 0922 20500.
